Tag Heuer have anounced the release of two new models, the SLR and the Carrera. From the looks of them, they are are up to the normal spectacular designs that one expects from Tag. No prices as yet but expect them to be expensive (at least until the counterfeit ones are advertised in random inbox spam!)

Radiators are big business at the moment, I’ve seen many different products in many different guises but none as cool as this one. Designed by Joris Laarman and taken into production by Droog Design, the Heat Wave is expected to hit the consumer market in 2007.

I seem to remember these guys appearing on the Dragons Den on BBC2 a couple of months ago. I though the idea was cool then but the ‘Dragons’ were not interested. It’s good to see Orikaso up and running and in full production. They specialise in a range of flat pack cups, plates and bowls that are sturdy, retain heat and colapse into a flat piece of Polypropylene (A green version of PVC). The good thing is the fact that they are light weight and take up no room if you’re out and about.

Ducati have unleashed the Paul Smart 1000 LE, a retro styled bike based on the classic Ducati 750 Imola Desmo that Paul Smart rode to victory in 1972. The style is retro with the metallic paint job, wire spoked wheels and teal frame but the guts of this bike are very firmly based in the modern biking world. The 70’s look houses a dual-spark V twin engine, Brembo disc brakes, terrain adapting suspension and an inspiring 160mph top speed.

This is the stuff I like, a kitchen timer that gradually creeps its way along the counter in it’s snail-like design. No idea on price or stockists, but hey it’s cool!

Remember the post about the classic Aston Martin DB5 going up for auction? (If not you can catch up here). Well the auction finished on 21st January with an unnamed Swiss bidder paying $1.9 million (£1 million) for the car of notable fame!

Oh yes! The folks at Backyard Artillery specialize in non-maiming weapons for all occasions. This is one of my favourites so far, a rubber band firing Gatling gun. It’s priced at $400 but for your hard earned cash you get a fine piece of crafted timber that has 12 barrels, fires 144 rubber bands as fast as you can turn the handle and envy from all your office buddies!

Ever been away and seen the delights of firefly’s bioluminescent glows in the garden? Ever wanted to recreate the effect in your own garden back home? Well now you can! Firefly Magic have made these LED mock up lights that flash in the same patterns as the real thing. On a green note, they are solar powered. Quite good but very pointless if you’ve never seen a firefly do it’s thing, imagine a set of twinkling Christmas tree lights in the undergrowth. Still, I think they would look the business and may even give the local stray cats some entertainment!
